We had a Victorian house which was right on the border of the plot. Next door's loooong-established garage was right on their border, too, with about 100mm at most between the two.

Not many people seemed to have died.

If anyone builds to the boundary they have no right to complain when the other person does the same. They are both idiots. I tell you what though, law or not they wouldn't be coming on my land to maintain their property
