only when neighbours built a conservatory 6 inches from our boundary did I realise this was no longer the case
We had a Victorian house which was right on the border of the plot. Next door's loooong-established garage was right on their border, too, with about 100mm at most between the two.

If anyone builds to the boundary they have no right to complain when the other person does the same. They are both idiots. I tell you what though, law or not they wouldn't be coming on my land to maintain their propertyAn answer isn't spam just because you don't like it......0
