What to ask!?

I am First time buyer . Searches have been kicked off this week. It would take upto 30 working days or longer to come back as per time line given on some website for my area council. Building survey is in next week. Solicitor has sent a mortgage deed for my acceptance.

as a first time buyer,  do I need to do anything apart from waiting , or do I need to ask any queries ?

Can I ask for any documents related to property now or will I get relevant documents on contract exchange? I really don't know what I would need to have on property purchase ? Thanks

You'd normally ask your queries before you get to this point. If anything comes to mind that you've forgotten about then certainly get it asked sooner rather than later but it should be by exception by now.

If you have already asked anything that you want the vendor to put in writing for some reason you'd speak to your conveyancer to add to their list of questions but they will already be covering off most the basics depending on the type of heating, type of holding etc.

I’m not sure you would - surely you’d need the TA06 etc, survey and search reports first before quite a few of the queries?

Check the local plan and the planning portal,  searches won't bring up everything that may interest you.

    (should have done this earlier)
