Child Maintenance Service Not Contactable?

Hi Folks, is anyone else having a nightmare trying to get in touch with the CMS?

I have tried calling them, but they only seem to be open M-F 9.30am to 3.30pm and the waiting time on hold has been around an hour before I've given up.

I know they will blame Covid etc, but surely after over a year of this they would have their staffing levels correct to be able to respond to people and answer phones in a reasonable amount of time?

try phoning when the lines first open. Start dialling just beforehand so it goes through as soon as the lines open.

Staff may be working from home as social distancing must be maintained in offices. 

There may be limited staff available to take calls due to maintaining social distancing in the workplace.
