Morning folks. After my early monring meanderings I slept a bit later than usual. DM had about an hour of wakefulness yesterday when her friend was here, it was amazing as she'd been asleep since Thursday afternoon. The agitation is increasing, hence the dental plate going missing, I was so glad that the nurses found it in the bed.Snoozer - my thoughts are with you and Steve, you're going through your own bad times. 💖 I really hope that you get some better news today.Once again, many thanks for all the wishes, it's so lovely.Happy Sunday to all.15

Morning all
Bright and sunny here and set in for the day I think, tomorrow evening sounds terrible with storms raging so need to make the most of the good weather.
Yesterday we drove out to take the pup for a walk just as we pulled up it started to pour down and I had no coat so OH and little pup went off for a walk and I sat in the car and waitied for them, it brightened up after a while so I followed them through the woods but turned back after a while when I could not see them, we met back at the car and then went off to the hardware shops for a good rummage and nosy, I ended up buying three bowls (I have a thing for bowls) and OH bought an axe handle.
Onto today we will go out again with both dogs and dd and take them for a good walk and possibly take a picnic with us. I am not sure about dinner but there is a chicken and some chops to eat so we will have one of those.
Gers Glad mum was more settled after the nurses visit, I hope she is ok today, look after yourself too, I shall be thinking about you all day xxx
Snoozer I hope the new antibiotics help Steve xxx
Have good days all xx15 -
Good morning everyone, sending hugs and spoons to Gers and Snoozer, hope that Steve responds to the new ABs and that they can pinpoint the source of the infection asap, Gers I hope that DM is less agitated now the nurses have administered the drugs.
Bright sunny here, not been outside yet, I woke at 08:15 after a straight 8.1/2 hour sleep, unheard of, must be the effect of Friday's 2nd jab.
I am hoping that it will be warm enough to get in the garden for a while, Thinking of a drive to the next town they have a Morries, several of my clematis plants don't seem to have made it through the Winter, including one I paid £12.95 for, not amused, they usually have a great gardening section outside the store, rather lost confidence driving, it would do me good to go as it is an easy drive whether I take the A road or the scenic route.
OH is hoping to get a cycle ride in before the rain comes, think he might be grounded for the next few days, but I have some jobs lined up for him - help me make a batch of Mamade (I cannot lift the full jam kettle safely) and de-frost the very icy freezer.
Keep warm, dry and safe all,The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)15 -
Morning Lovelies. We managed to change our jabs yesterday after waiting for 25mins for someone to talk to, in the mean time we were entertained by a Mozart violin concerto and not the usual Muzak, our health board must be very cultured
So now we are going to the same place, on the same day just 10mins apart and the lady couldn't be more helpful. Don't know why I get so stressed out, nowadays it's about everything it seems.
On to today, the sun is shining again so I shall put the washing from yesterday back out, as it didn't dry much and just finish it off. I have an online shop to do, mostly Dad's and then I shall re-commence the digging out in the garden. I did some yesterday but now I've got to the shrub stumps and roots. It's slow going but I find it therapeutic as it's my "go to" place when I'm stressed. We had and easy bacon and egg tea yesterday but I'm not sure of today's, perhaps a jacket potato and something or a cottage pie 🤔 Pudding will have to be tinned fruit and custard/cream as we finished the ice cream yesterday.Gers I'm glad you eventually got some sleep last night. Hope today goes by peacefully for you and your Mum. I shall be thinking of you both throughout the day.Snoozer I'm so sorry Steve has taken a turn for the worse, I do hope they can get to the bottom of it asap. I'm sending you both hugs.dp1 I'm not surprised that your DD is fed up going in and out of hospital, poor girl. Life is definitely not playing fair to her at the moment. I hope that the problem can soon be identified and sorted. Please send her my love and I hope there can be a swift positive outcome.Right better get on and do something, maybe getting dressed would be a good start 😁Take care all, stay safenan xx

Morning, hugs if you need one.
Gers - I am sorry you are having a rough time with your Mum, pleased the nurses managed to quieten her down so you could get some sleep. You are doing a magnificent job. Make sure you take some 'me time' .
I managed to get the binding on the quilt yesterday, now I have to do the hand sewing......it will take me at least 3 - 4 days to do it.
Lovely morning, have whites in the washer, later getting up after our usual Sunday breakfast in bed.
No plans for the day apart from doing an hours hand sewing on the quilt.
Roast shoulder of lamb with all the trimmings for supper, dessert will be the last of the chocolate pots.12 -
Well so far today we've had lovely warm sunshine - had a cuppa outside at mam and dad's. Later I walked to the shop....the heavens opened and the rain was so cold...then it turned to hailstones...then some thunder...now it's sunny again!
Washing has been spun again so I'll peg it back outside....11 -
Washing machine finished then decided to start smoking - awful smell. New one arriving this week.
Son stopped by for socially distanced visit.
Had some fresh air and did some steps - still chilly here. I could smell a barbie - too cold for me.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
