Changing Solicitor because he has not been any good. Very dodgy to be fair.

Hi There, i have told my solicitor that he must do no more work for us.
He has been a nightmare, made me quite ill...Seems to of kept me out of all disscusions that he has had with the other side. Seems to be on there side. Large money has been stolen from an My late Aunties Estate by executors. Fraud is on all Bank accounts to see. He does not want to talk about the Fraud on email ? Only on the telephone ? With me.
Since i told him he is no longer to do any more work. He has chased up things that he should of, bank accounts that the other side didnt tell me of have suddenly popped up ? He has said no charge for this info he has sent me.
Because he has messed up a lot of things involving this case, he seems to want me to sign document fast to say he no longer is my solicitor. Should i with hold signing, as he still has a lot of answers to give me ? Will he possibly go quiet once i have signed this document and not answer me? Sorry silly question, but just wondering if by law does he still have to answer me at the moment as i haven't signed that he no longer my solicitor ? If i sign the document that he has sent me, that he is no longer our solicitor will it be harder for us to get answers from him, and his boss, will he stall things. He seems really keen to get rid of us. Should i hold off signing until i get some important answers ?
Thanks so much for any advice. This solicitor has been so bad. We have no choice but to complain...So dodgy its been such a stressful experience.
