How do you know they’ve changed the package?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

It would have that on change of ownership the old LL would have cancelled the BB just like any homeowner would when they move, meaning the new LL would need to sign up to a new contract with whoever they wish.

In a lot of cases the BB would automatically be cancelled on a change of name on the telephone line.

My guess is that this is the reason that the OP has no BB at the moment as new LL hasn't set up a new contract with a supplier or even not arranged phone provision possibly

New LL may not realise  that they are in the tenants contract as it is fairly unusual. Also keep an eye out for any utility bills as they could be the same.

I provide BB to one of my student lets (mainly so it's there ready & running when they move in).  Provider not named in tenancy but the Virgin BB Hub box in the living room is a bit of a giveaway (and with WiFi name & password printed on bottom).

B*gg*rs get 200Mbps+, more than 7 times what I get at home!!!!

Since the internet hasn't been working for the past 2 months, I asked the agency for details. They said that this is because the new LL is making changes. However, when I asked them about how long it will take to get the internet back and what will be the new package, they simply said that "you do not need to know the exact details".

Moreover, we don't have a common landline. Since this is a flat, all the devices are locked inside a separate comms room. I assume that everything including the landline is locked inside that room.

I suppose one reasonable question is where you are with your tenancy? Can you give notice? If so, doing so now may concentrate the agent's mind on this.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

He doesn't know who the LL is though and the LA won't tell him.
