No claims discount

Buts
I have been driving for over 30 years, and my current insurance provider only states that I have 9 years on my policy, this is there maximum amount. I know I have over 20 years plus. I was looking for new insurance quotes and a couple of companies have the option to select 20 years plus. So my main concern is how can I prove that I have 20 years plus no claims discount?

You can only prove what you have written proof of.
How long have you been with your current insurer?
You could contact them and ask them to provide written proof of how many years NCD you had when you joined them and that you have had no accidents/incidents since.
Otherwise you only have written proof of the 9 years.1 -
From what others have said here, it's not going to make any difference to premiums once you get over a certain number of years - and it may be that 9 years is the relevant limit1

Whilst I agree it doesn't make much difference I have found , with some insurers , that there is a difference between , say , 9 years , 10 years , 11 years , it may just be 1% per year but that's about as far as it goes.
I acknowledge that putting 20 or 30 years is pointless
