Where does this leave me, as far as I can see due to their lack of knowledge and the pandemic i got over looked and Im being penalised for it like I say how could I ask for a reassesment if id already told them about my health change and this or anything else didn't get actioned when it was put on
If there is any backdating I would assume it's like ESA and would apply if you specifically reported a change of circumstances (i.e. telling them your health had got worse) and requesting reassessment, not just them deciding to reassess you (as far as I understand).

That’s fine UC is all new to me and being as there was no one to speak face to face with I just did what I thought I had to via the journal, when it asked when my health changed I just put that date as I couldn’t remember what date it got worse as it’s up and down. No I didn’t have earnings but my husband did and no child element either. Think I have been a bit nieve with this as like I say no one to talk to face to face to point me in the right direction to get it sorted0

In that case the work allowance should have been applied to his earnings from the start of your claim which means they should have deducted less from your UC / paid you more; have they paid you any backpayment for that? If not, I'm not sure how you go about requesting it but make sure to keep a copy of everything in the journal and all your statements first (screenshots are fine) just for your own records, because if they recalculate entitlement it usually overwrites the original statements.0
