Responsibility for removing a wasps nest from the roof of a flat I am buying

I am buying a top floor flat in a very old building. When the survey came back, they noted that there were quite a lot of dead wasps around the flat, especially on the window sils. On further inspection of the roof space, a wasps nest has been found. I went round for another viewing today and it's pretty extensive.
I was wondering whose responsibility is it to remove this, if it is anyones at all? I'd rather it was sorted before completion, so can I ask the vendor to get this removed?

If the nest is empty, it won't be used again.3

Surprised the vendor isn't taking action themselves if the nest is active.0

It depends who is demised (allocated) the roof space. In most flats, it will be the freeholder. But in some cases, it will be demised to the leaseholder in the flat below. Reading the lease should tell you.1

Thanks everyone. The flat is currently vacant as the vendor lives down south now. We are still waiting for the leasehold pack from the vendor hence the confusion around responsibilities.0

There is no need to remove it as wasps only use nests for one year and will not return to an old nest. In fact if you remove it they may be more likely to come back as you have created a nice clear space for a new nest...
