White Vinegar

Anyone know where you can buy 5L packs of distilled white vinegar from the High Street?
I know you can get it online via Amazon etc but you always take the risk of something like this getting damaged and spilt when ordered online so I would prefer to buy it from a physical shop if I can. Most places I've been to only seem to stock 500ml-750ml bottles.

You got any "zero-waste" type shops around you? We have one in our area, you take in your own container and fill it from a bit tub with a tap.1

I do but wasn't sure this was the sort of thing they stock. I shall check, thanks.joe90mitch said:You got any "zero-waste" type shops around you? We have one in our area, you take in your own container and fill it from a bit tub with a tap.0 -
First hit on high street shops https://www.iceland.co.uk/p/sarsons-distilled-malt-vinegar-5-litres/74589.htmlOr if you have a friendly local independent shop that has a Booker or Makro account, they may well be able to get you a can or four.
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Yeah worth checking, I'm sure not all do! Some backups already posted by FreeBear just in case notneilmcl said:

Every time I've looked into this, it has been cheaper just to buy the individual small bottles in Tesco. That Iceland 5L pack seems typical of this - it works out at 1£/L whereas the Tesco bottles work out at 70p/L.2

I too have started buying the smaller bottles from Tesco and refilling a spray bottle. No reason why you can't do it for a 5L canister.I read a lot of guff that it wasn't as strong as the suff sold for cleaning. It works just fine. A little better if anything and doesn't have all the chemicals in the fluid sold as White Vinegar for cleaning.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

I've found the glass Sarsons white vinegar bottles screw directly onto a spray head that previously was on a glass (windolene) cleaner bottle - no need to decant.1
