Fitting laminate and Z bar

Hi all. I am going to be putting down some laminate this weekend.
The underlay is Vitrex 5mm fibre board. I was planning on putting 8mm laminate but have found some 12mm I like so I'm going with this.
Problem is I can't find a z bar to accomodate a 17mm total height for the floor for the door threshold (carpeted hallway on the otherside).
Any ideas? I've looked in b&q toolstation etc.
Thanks in advance

Do you need to use a Z bar, won't a T moulding do just as well?
If you can't get a size big enough then you'll need to put a shim underneath it to lift it to the correct height to accommodate the height of the laminate.

The carpet is currently held at the threshold with a carpet to carpet trim. If i were to use a T moulding how would I go about keeping the carpet in place?0 -
A length of gripper then the T moulding over the top, but would only work if the height met the same as the laminate on the other side. Probably the way to go is with the Z bar and shim as in the video.DPR87 said:

Hi, I used a standard z bar and lifted it to the height of the underlay by putting a strip of plywood underneath. If you have a 10mm underlay on the carpet side then upto 19mm isnt an issue with a stanadrd bar.
