Hi,
I was lucky enough to receive the offer of a new job, on informing my current employer that I would like to put my notice in I was advised their were willing to be flexible as we were not returning to work until 13th May at the earliest.

With this is mind I submitted my notice and was offered a new start date for my new job, which was quite a quick turn around.
I received an email (from current employer) from them acknowledging that I had submitted notice and the start date was fine. Followed by an email saying payroll will work out if you owe any money to us.
I have now received an email asking me to pay my previous employer 348 pound for been absent from work for the 26th -30th April, that I owe the company 12.5 hours, I owe half a days holiday and a partial furlough refund and tax refund.
The company use an annualised hours system so was expecting the 12.5 part, the holiday i apparently owe is actually holidays we were given because of the ongoing furlough situation.
I am just confused by this as the company agreed to be flexible with the notice as on furlough and never mentioned that I would owe any money for been absent. If anyone is able to help with this I would be grateful.
