Thanks

My main bit of advice would be to make sure you know which wire is which before you disconnect them from the terminals on the existing ceiling rose.  You could easily have three reds/browns, three blacks/blues and three earths, not including the wires in the fitting itself.  Wire them wrong to the new lamp, and something could go bang.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

    As above, but also this:-

If you are not a competent person with electrics you shouldn't be attempting jobs involving electrics.  Find someone who is or hire an Electrician.

Changing out a ceiling rose is something that the ready supply of light fittings implies is relatively easy, but it usually isn't.  That's because of the need to remove the ceiling rose and remake the various connections inside the base of the new fitting in possibly limited physical space and whilst working at height.

I am no electrician but have done this several times. Make sure power is off, do it in good daylight, take a photo of the wiring and give yourself plenty of time.  Various tutorials on Youtube.....

That is an odd-looking ceiling rose and since there are two shades of white on the fitting, it looks like it has already had a mix-and-match change in the past, so things may be less obvious than if it was a straight like-for-like replacement.

There's also two light switches. One in the room, the other in the kitchen.
I did look at the YouTube tutorials and was surprised how complicated they were despite the positive feedback in the comments section.

It's perfectly doable for any sensible person to manage after watching a few YouTube videos.

Tips above are all valid, in particular that you'll have up to nine wires kicking around, so work out which group is the switch, and put a mark on it to avoid getting mixed up.
