Changing size of extension a month before build starts

    Construction isn't a millimetre perfect business and tolerances can be quite large. Not sure you'd get away with 500mm, but 200mm or even 300mm would probably slip through without a quibble.

    Sorry if this seems a daft question but if you are doing a 4 metre extension, where is the 4 metres measured? Outside or inside?  Only wondering because if you have now added on 50cm have you deducted the plastering and plasterboard as well as the brickwork? Will you find you now have say 4.25 metres inside?

    I am pretty sure it is from the outside brick rather than the inside edge of the brick.
