Private motorcycle sale

I sold my motorcycle 6 weeks ago. Good condition, full service history , MOT. Buyer came with friend, inspected it at length and took for test drive before buying and taking away. Over 3 weeks later sent short text to say forks were bent. Then after 6 weeks several ranting messages saying we sold a dangerous crashed bike as forks bent and demanding we pay for fixing, threatening court action. Presumably as it was in good condition with all documents completely as per advertisement and he checked it before taking away he does not have a leg to stand on?
thank you for any help

Not to my knowledge. He checked it completely before buying.0

In that case I would say it is caveat emptor. I wouldn't enter into any communicaton with himI don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0

You can ignore it if you like, or send one polite message saying that it was a private sake, the bike was as described, and as per his inspection there were no problems at the time of sale and you won’t be responding to any further messages.0

Do not engage in any dialogue with them, full stop.

Similar things come up from time to time on this forum. The advice is always the same - deny any responsibility, do not engage with them. They will usually go away when they realise they are not going to get any money from you.
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
