Uk trip deposit refund

Had a hen weekend booked in uk at the start of April which we were unable to go to due to lockdown. We had only paid the deposit but due to it not being our fault we asked for a refund which they are reluctant to give and just keep asking us to reschedule for another weekend. Were struggling to find another date that suits everyone so will probably do something else instead. Does anyone know if we are legally eligible for the refund of our deposit?

If the property was closed then you are entitled to a refund.

What were the terms and conditions when you booked? Deposits in themselves are generally non refundable.
