Alpha rooms still no refund

A group of 6 friends were due to travel to Benidorm June 2020, obviously cancelled but I still haven’t received my refund from Alpharooms. I have received a small amount from a chargeback from my credit card but because we booked so far in advance the rest of the money isn’t covered.
Alpha rooms kept promising I would have the money by October then November etc etc last year.
What can I do I feel terrible it’s not just my money?? Travel insurance is now tricky as we have received a small amount from chargeback

Were you entitled to a refund? i.e was the hotel available or closed? It's surprising that you would receive only some money back from a charge back? It should either be within the time limit or not? Did you make two seperate bookings? With a credit card you could try and make a S.75 claim against the credit card company if you are in fact entitled to a refund. It may be refused though since you used a 3rd party.Travel insurance will probably be tricky because your insurance will probably only cover your loss and everyone else will have to claim on their own insurance.0

I don’t understand why you would only receive “a bit” back via chargeback either? How exactly was the whole lot paid? Also (although it is often harped on about) what did the terms and conditions of booking say? I know you couldn’t get there but was the accommodation actually closed? It isn’t a cut and dried case when referring to accommodation only.Agree with previous, you would all need to claim individually on your insurance policies if applicable.0

I wonder if it was one of those drip-drip payment plans with a small amount paid by the OP each month for their hotel. That might explain the part chargeback success. Wondering if multiple part payments being made towards the holiday would mean individual chargebacks being submitted for each advance payment?

More likely is that one person used a card to pay and collected cash from the others as it appears to have been a group of friends travelling. In that case, the card issuer will only refund the card holder for his loss, since the others didn't pay by card and are not a family unit.0
