Refund on delivery fee?

I bought something from Oasis using the mobile app at the beginning of the month. Decided I didn't like it and returned it a couple of days later.

Over 14 days went by and to be fair to them, I got in touch via Twitter and they refunded me quickly.

The only problem is that they only refunded the cost of the two items and not the standard delivery fee. I used a portal to return, for UK and International buyers you need to create a return by clicking on the button.

They are saying that the delivery fee is only refunded for countries in the EEA (I am UK-based). They are saying for countries in the EEA you have to inform them in writing either by filling in a form / writing to them or emailing them that you wish to return the items, and do that before you post them off.

I didn't do that, because that seemed to be only for those in EEA countries. But I thought that standard delivery charges were still refunded in the UK? I followed the guidance given in the UK section by creating a return through the portal.

Please can someone let me know where i stand?
