Holiday Inn are having a sale just now, their Bussy hotel near Disney is about £34 a night if you hit the right dates. Possibly worth staying there and using the metro to get about...we found it very straightforward.

From Beauvais, find your way to the railway station and hop on a train to Gare du Nord. Paris is full of hotels but in August the city is empty as most Parisians are on holiday. You are very likely to find low prices by checking the web.

I would just jump on the bus which meets the ryan air flight. Its the easiest option and not that expensive. The airport is smaller than our bus station, very basic and out of town. There is a return service which matches all the ryan air flight. Paris in August is lovely. Quieter than usual and lovely weather.

I would recommend St Germain (6E) for a nice central area to stay, perhaps not the very cheapest area but if you are only there for 3 days you can do most things on foot from here and there is a lovely villagey feel about the area. I would not recommend staying near the Eiffel Tower because there is very little to do around there at night, and it is not particularly convenient for the rest of the city. This site is a good starting point: http://www.paris.org/Hotels/

August should be lovely, we went for Christmas & New Year and it was beautiful then, but in the Summer, with the light evenings it must be even nicer still!

If you like Morrocan Food a meal at the restaurant at the Mosque (on the corner opposite the main entrance to the Natural History Museum in the 5th Arrondisement) is an unforgettable experience, they also have a tearoom there that serves incredible handmade cakes with sweet mint tea.

Also Cafe Leffe http://www.cafeleffe-notredame.com/ next door to the Shakespeare & Co Bookshop just across the road from Notre Dame is really good value, and they have a Happy Hour on Belgian Beers sometime between 5-7pm. We saw the New Year in there this year, had a fantastic meal, and were made to feel very welcome.

If the weather is good you will save a lot of money on entrance fees, because the city is so lovely to walk around you just won't want to be cooped up inside! Have Fun!

If you want CHEAP hotels then Formula 1 are £20 a room...There's plenty in paris and near Metro's...Depends on what kind of accommodation you want..I stayed in a huge one and it was fine..

If you want a good restaurant try the Bistrot de Breteuil its behind the eiffel tower. They have a 3 course set menu, including a kir royal cocktail and a bottle of wine (off a wine list not a house wine)! The price per person is 32 euros. I have been there once and have a table booked on Saturday! the food is top notch! And if you time it right you should see the hourly light show on the eiffel tower! ( on the hour for 10 minutes!).
