GDPR breach

I have a contract with Three and someone request an upgrade on my name/ number.
I have never requested any upgrade and now they have blocked my number. This is taking ages to get this sorted. They data protection team doesn't get anything sorted.
I'm very stressed with all this and not feeling they are keeping my personal data safe.
How can I claim compensation? Can I get it directly with them?

You set out your costs/losses and ask them for that sum. Presumably your losses are your contract payments for the period where you are denied service.0

What evidence do you have that there has been a GDPR breach? Companies have to make reasonable attempts to identify the person is their customer but for example my wife could log into 90% of my different accounts online as she knows my passwords, most my security type questions, can access my email etc.
To claim compensation you must submit a complaint with evidence to substantiate both the allegation of the breach and what your financial losses have been due to the breach. If your losses is just a generic inconvenience then just suggest a token amount.0
