27/01/21: Purchase survey & valuation complete, mortgage offer
received
05/02/21: Reduction agreed on partner's sale (under-valuation) & on
purchase. Mortgage offer amended
08/02/21: Buyers pack returned to solicitor - sellers packs already returned
26/02/21:
Partner's sale contract signed
10/03/21: Purchase searches all back
16/03/21: My sale contract signed
28/03/21: Purchase enquiries satisfied, Title
Report & contracts issued, contracts signed & returned
11/05/21: Still waiting on final enquiry in the adjoining chain to be resolved. Consent to break the chain granted, instruction to move to exchange given.
17/05/21: All parties agreed to June 3rd for completion
27/05/21: Exchanged on my sale only
28/05/21: ALL EXCHANGED!
03/06/21: Completion

I think I’ve messed up

Thanks for clicking. I could really use some advice.
In the process of buying a house which will need a lot of work. Just waiting to exchange (should be any day)
Overworked at the moment and was looking at my credit score on Experian. It said I could see how much we could borrow for a personal loan, so I put in my husband’s income and clicked search. I’m pretty certain it said nothing would come up on my credit record, but this morning I’ve had a notification from ClearScore that a soft search was done so it clearly has come up.
Is this going to affect our chances of getting the mortgage now? I’ve been so careful paying off debts to make sure nothing goes wrong on completion, I really can’t believe I’ve done this.

A soft search won't show to lenders or affect your credit score. It will only show to you. If you completed the application and a hard search is done, it might.2
