Not sure we know much about the sister, but I think we should hear it from the horse's mouth.grumiofoundation said:Not really; which bit made that clear to you it was about an equity tracker, the mention of a 'global index tracker'?
Logically it seem unlikely that anyone would be looking to invest solely in bonds.

Just within the FTSE range there are plenty of options and there are numerous others elsewhere too, but I'm not planning to research them all for you!DrSyn said:

I'm the horse & neigh my sister wouldn't be interested in putting her money solely in bonds!JohnWinder said:

The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.1 -
I did not ask you to do any research for me. Giving one or two examples would have been sufficient, thank you. As you point out there many options. So it seemed reasonable to me to point the OP in the direction of the two global indexes that they most likely had heard of and would find easily. Of course you may not agree.eskbanker said:

No issue with choosing to mention two prominent examples of global equity indices, I was just picking up on your use of 'should', which came across as a recommendation that those two are the best in some way.DrSyn said:

Newbie here, would I be correct in thinking for example, that Vanguard LifeStrategy funds are multi asset funds? Barring LS100 of course.0

Yes, because they contain multiple asset classes
