Morning all.
Sorry I've not been around much but, you know, stuff happens.
Dumpling, It's like one of those horrible dreams isn't it? Never mind. As my dear old Gran would have said - worse things happen at sea.
Hoping that everyone else survives the day unscathed.
Loving thoughts to those going through tough times. Especially Gers just now.
If I don't get dressed soon my fence painter will catch me in my dressing gown. Not that he has any room to crticise. His hair hasn't been cut since before the first lockdown and he has decided that he likes it that way. He actually looks like the Wild Man of Borneo. Never mind, the neighbours are gradually coming to terms with the fact that the goings on in this house are unconformist to say the least.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Morning all
Bright and sunny here but very cold again if the wind would drop it would be lovely. DD has got a wash on the go and will hang it out.
I took the dogs to the park yesterday and saw my friend we had a good walk and chat for an hour, I came home and made a huge salad with tuna and some coleslaw I had made on Saturday and within an hour or so I was doubled over in pain, I spent the rest of the day running to the loo every ten minsI could not even keep water in, I was in bed by nine and got up twice in the night, so far so good this morning so I hope its passed, I did feel rough !!
Snoozer years ago we had fleas in an old house from a visiting cat, we were told to spray all the edges of the carpets and seams on sofas etc as thats where they lay the eggs, good luck with getting rid. I am also the opposite with a matress and lke a really hard bed and a freezing cold room my window is just about always open unless its really windy.
Not sure about dinner tonight but will go and rummage after this. DW needs empying and a quick clean through. I shall take the dogs to the park this morning as dd has a hairdresser coming to do her hair and she is bringing her child with her so I shall get the dogs out of the way.
Dumpling what a shock for you but no harm done big hugs xxx
Have good days all x13 -
Hello all, we seem to be having the same weather as most of you. Overcast, morsels of sun and showers maybe, it is warmer this morning though.I finally emptied the ironing basket, Yay go me ! The washing dried outside too and was put away. I also managed to sit in the sun in the afternoon and do some reading. I'm going through books at a rate of knots too, last week I deleted about 25 finished ones and downloaded 6 more, but I still prefer the paper ones.Don't know what to do today, I do have to empty the dw now that it's finished and bring in the empty green waste bins....... perhaps I'll fill them back up in case we have rain later 🤔 Then I have no plans as such, maybe have a day off and have a me day, we'll see.Tea will be tortellini in a hm tomato sauce, I found both while rummaging in the freezer yesterday.Lovely to "see" Mehefin and Poppy.TA did you have to mention cleaning windows.I was pretending mine don't need doing as long as no-one mentioned themDumpling my goodness what a wake up call for Steve ! These things do happen and Steve is a good 'un, he's a keeper I think.taff Never fear I've plenty more shrubs in the garden to destroy yet !! I wish people wouldn't put ideas in my head ( himself mainly ) and I think that's a good idea, then I'll have at it before thinking about all the work that will have to go into it, doh ! I really should think things through first, before reaching for the tools. Think I maybe too old to change now 🤣Csarina enjoy the new car, drive safely too.Hugs to all the poorlies, family members and carers. Big hugs to anyone struggling with daily life.Take care all, stay safe and well.nan xx

Sunny here but still the cold NE wind. Walked round to the SA hall to have a chat with one of the soldiers.
We walked into town and visited the fabric shop that is closing down. Came home with 18 metres of fabric for £30 - will use some to make money aprons for a planned craft fair.
Feel so much better now my hair is cut.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

On first try the new mattress seems very luxurious and comfortable. Before it arrived we took the old mattress off, removed the drawers and I steamed the carpet, hopefully that will sort the little bu88ers, I'm beginning to think they will join cockroaches in surviving a nuclear holocaust. We had our own dogs for nearly 40 years and never had this problem. I'm sure it's because Ziggy goes with a walking service at home.6
