Can you still pay in a cheque via a TSB ATM

I have a cheque with a small value, £30, can you still pay in cheques via the ATM machine on the outside of the bank. Last time I did this was when the bank was LloydsTsb branded and that was about 2013. So instead of a wasted journey, does anyone know if the TSB still operate this service?

Personally, my first choice would be to see if their app supports digital deposits. Just scan the cheque via the app and pay it in that way. I'm not a TSB customer, many major banks offer this, but I can't say if TSB is one of them,
  • Pay it into a Post Office, they will have cheque deposit envelopes for you to use - i do this at a PO with cheques going into my Lloyds account, gets credited to the account within 2 working days - at least that's what it shows on my statement, it could be there within hours i suppose.

    No it doesn't.

TSB's website has this information on it, which presumably means that at least some of their ATMs allow you to deposit cheques:

"If you pay in your cheque at a deposit cash machine outside of branch opening hours, it will take an extra day to clear."

I paid in a cheque at a (now closed) TSB branch's outside ATM last summer.

It was an old school machine that spits out an envelope with a big arrow on it for you to put your cheque (and a paying in slip) in.

It took something like 3 days to appear on my account which seemed like at least a day longer than it should have, but it worked.

Thanks for this, I didn't see this before when searching.

Good to know you managed this last summer as the 3 machines (in 3 different towns) I've used in the past have no mention of ATM cheque deposits on their list of services on the TSB branch finder.

I'm wondering if they've quietly ditched this service, anyway I'm going to give this a try some evening and hope for the best.
