Hi! 

My boyfriend has received a single justice notice for not paying a fine from not paying his car tax!!! 

He’s pleaded guilty to the offence. 

What is the likely outcome from this? Max fine? Penalty points?

No points, fine depends on how long the vehicle was untaxed:

Basically, half a week's income for 1-3 months unpaid, a week's income for 4-6 months unpaid and one and a half week's income for 7-12 months unpaid. All reduced by a third for a guilty plea. He will also pay a Victim Surcharge of 10% of the fine (minimum £34) and £85 costs. No points but the court will also order the avoided tax to be paid.
