So today I viewed a smaller 1-bed flat that was £75 cheaper per month in rent and gas central heating.
Sounds like a no brainer if the rent is £75 less and it has GCH.  But where does the £80 figure come from?

Currently debating whether Sky is worth it or not. Probably not if it means I need a tv incense as well.
If you watch or record Sky (or any other live TV) you'll need a TV licence.
  • The other flat I was considering which had gas central heating was £5 more per month than the one with electric heaters, so this flat is £75 less than the electric one and £80 less than the other gas one. Less space as well, but I live alone with my cat so don’t need 2 bedrooms. I was only looking at larger places as most smaller flats don’t allow pets.

Seems like sky is definitely not worth it then. I only tend to use it for Netflix, sky original series and the odd film. I don’t watch live tv at all and can definitely live without it.

I've heard of the tail wagging the dog, but never the cat wagging the entire flat....
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
