Be VERY wary of "Save XXXX on RRP" type offers - new cars are often heavily discounted and will qualify for incentivised finance deals that pre-reg cars wont
That's a common misconception. I've benefitted from massive manufacturer and dealer "contributions" for taking finance on an approved-used car.

And at probably a much higher interest rate.

Its not a misconception.  Its a statement of fact.

I didnt say that prereg cars wouldnt qualify for "any" incentivised deals - just that they wont qualify for the same deals as new cars will.  The manufacturer has a vested interest in selling brand new cars.  They have no such vested interest in selling the used cars including pre-reg cars (none of which they dont own).  The deals on even Approved Used cars are thus rarely as good as those on new cars and are usually notably worse.

This is very worth bearing in mind and should not be dismissed or ignored.
