Newbie looking for CCJ advice

Dear all, I have just found a CCJ against my name arising from a Private parking ticket from Premier Park. The problem is that I had moved house and so had no idea that they were taking me to court and had no correspondence.
Having reviewed my credit report it is showing as discharged. Does this mean that it can be removed?
I am unsure what to do to put this right.
Thank you!

Didn't you inform the DVLC that your address had changed?Kenpoguy01 said:The problem is that I had moved house and so had no idea that they were taking me to court and had no correspondence.0 -
Hi, no. I changed my car just after moving so was no longer on the registration that the penalty was issued to.0

Sounds like potential grounds for a set aside, depending on whether or not you have a reasonable defence to the original parking charge (it's NOT a 'penalty' or a 'fine') - and generally speaking a defence can be found given how the private parking companies operate...Kenpoguy01 said:Hi, no. But as previously mentioned, this should be moved to, or posted on the Parking sub-forum here for best advice. Please go there now and read up on the 'Newbies' thread that is at the top of the board.0 -
OK it has now been moved and your thread is on the forum where we see these set aside agreed pretty much 100% because PPCs are notorious for deliberately using old addresses and has caused the MoJ to (slowly) think about reform. All because most parking firms are greedy chancers who like getting default CCJs for inflated sums of money
Why is it showing as discharged|?
Could it be that someone in your family saw a letter that went to your old address that the car was registered to and paid it, thinking they were helping? It doesn't help to pay a CCJ off, that just cements the damage.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
