Quick summary of problem:
Added garage extension to side of house. Builder is not answering our calls to fix an issue relating to building regs.
external garage wall requires buttressing and can’t get building regs without it.

Entire structure now in place (roof, beams, concrete floor, doors etc) so I wanted to check what it might cost to put the missing by buttress in? Wall is single skin and one buttress column required.

Do you mean a 9 inch pier in the centre of the wall?0

Yes I think that’s what needed, just awaiting a structural engineer to confirm what standard building regs state.0

Depends how they want it tied in. Easier if they just want wall starters fixed to the wall to tie in the block or brickwork. Or ties fixed into the joints.0
