Morning all
Overcast here and very windy dd has put a wash on this morning so that can go on the line. I am envious of you with warm weather its been freezing here and we have not been able to sit in the garden at all, we are still lighting he fire most evenings.
Went for a lovely walk with the two dogs yesterday, little pup seems to be no worse for her ordeal, we got lost and walked about 5-6 miles but the dogs enjoyed it so all good.
Popped into the shop on the way back and saw my FIL in there with plasters and blood all over his face, he had taken a tumble in the shop and the staff had patched him up, he is looking more and more frail everytime I see him, he assured us that he felt ok but OH will pop in and see him today.
Think I will do pork chops for dinner either with mash and veg or a jacket and salad, dw needs empying and the breakfast things putting in and I shall take the hounds to the park and see if my friend is there, I have a cucumber plant for her, my other friend gave me three so I shall share the luck and pass one on.

Have good days all xx14 -
Morning all,Hope the new stuff goes well nmlcPoppy sorry to hear about your painful vertebraeDumpling hope the legs aren't as sore this timeSnoozer and Nanny, hope all goes wellWe just had a chilled out day yesterday pottering in our back garden. DH painted a section of the fence, and I watered the pots.Had chats with neighbours both sides. One had her DGS (4)there - while we were talking he let out a squeal and brought her a dead bird that he said fell out of the sky! Not sure what happened there unless a bird of prey dropped it.
Poor little lad said it made him sad and he might cry
It wasn't really warm enough to sit out once the sun had gone behind the conifers, so DH watched a music programme, I read for a bit then bunged the turkey joint in, which was very tasty alongside the roasties and veg.No special plans today, I could do with making a loaf and I have a blouse I picked up cheap but the sleeves are really long if I can be bothered getting the sewing machine out. I might review some family history stuff as my cousin has thrown a spanner in the works - she thinks she's found an alternative GGgrandfather. I don't really agree with her but it does no harm to check it outHope you all have a decent day x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all, blimey it's back to freezing today and a biting wind again.I did manage to get some reading done in the garden yesterday, it was quite warm and I found a sheltered spot out of the wind.Today I was up early ( well for me ) the DGC have had their breakfasts and have been deposited at school..... job done. DD dropped them off here early and I swapped her 2 pieces of cake, one for her and one for her LA 😂 Not to be left out DGS put a piece in his lunchbox too, he doesn't miss a trick where food is concerned, however DGD doesn't like coffee cake, so she declined a slice.I've already done a clothes load in the wm and hung it on the whirly, don't know if it will dry though. We made the decision not to go over the van today with the mended drawers, we were also going to take the cover off and open the windows to give it an airing but it's much too windy to take the cover off, we could get blown over to Weston S. M.I have decided to tackle the dreaded ironing today, might need a lie down after that ! I have no idea what to have for tea tonight, I'll have a rummage in the freezer/ cupboards later, I'm sure I can cobble something together.Hugs to the poorly ones, their carers and family members.Take care all, stay safe.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently11

Morning all and thank you for starting the thread nmlc.
Quite cold here but the sun has come out and it will probably spend some time in the garden.
Managed to turn out my autumn compost with one arm, at one point I thought it wouldn't come out of the bin but it is now in a pile, covered with free fleece and it looks like an igloo. A small igloo.
Although I have not posted much, I've been reading along. Poppy, sorry to hear about your back, Dumpling hope your dressing change is not too painful, Ruby your poor puppy. Gers am thinking of you and your mum, Nan, of you and Mr Fixit. I bet I've left people out, sorry if so.
Have a good day.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back11 -
