Wanted-Family Income Benefit Insurancd

Options
I’m sure you know about “Family Income Benefit insurance” that pays a monthly amount to your family if you die during policy cover.

Do you know who the well know insurance companies that offer this?

Do you know where you can get this insurance without having to go through loads of mental questions?  Ideally just one or two or better still no questions. You can get over 50 Life insurance and many don’t ask mental questions.

You don't get mental questions with over 50s policies because they assume the worse and hence get terrible rates. Anyone sensible does the normal market quotes first with the questions and if you get a mountain of declines or quotes that look like telephone numbers then you go for the no questions asked option.

no. it does not exist. Although for pure life assurance, it is only a small number of questions.

Over 50s life insurance policies are for people who cannot get proper life assurance.  They are not good value for money and are an option of last resort.

FIL had an over 50's policy and paid in almost double to what they paid out.  But he was stuck with the choice
of keep paying or cancel and get nothing back.

Its only a few £'s a week but after 30 years that added up to way more than the policy paid out.

Most over 50's policies pay out a few thousand pound, that's it.  A family income benefit plan, depending on the monthly income and the term of the plan would likely pay out £100K+ if claimed on early in the term so for that reason insurers cannot offer these sorts of plans with no or minimal underwriting.
