Transferring funds from a PlusNet reward card

I posted a very similar thread recently .
Today I just loaded my electricity account online with the full £75 using the plusnet purecard it was quick and very easy online .
When the utility Co make up my next bill the account will be in credit as I phoned to check after submitting a meter reading last week .
In the past I have phoned up and had any credit refunded to my bank account if over £20 or add it to the gas bill or just leave it in place as some years in summer I can use more electricity than winter .
Council tax wouldnt take a £75 payment online in my case as it was less than the monthly CT amount but they might if you made a verbal phone call .

Same with a supermarket. Only time they will do a £1 pre auth is when you are using pay @ Pump for petrol. Never when you are buying food.Life in the slow lane1 -

My council allows ad-hoc online payments of any amount at any time, and the monthly DD is reduced by the cumulative amount paid manually. If manual payments add up to or exceed the monthly amount, the DD isn't taken.I suspect this will apply to the following councils, as they all share the same online payments system (CapitaConnect):(Watford Borough Council also uses CapitaConnect, but doesn't seem to allow online CT payments?)

Hi I have just used my card to purchase an Amazon gift card to pay a balance off a new air fryer. No £1 held or anything. It was bitter sweet (although I am still grateful) as I was scammed on Marketplace on Amazon trying to purchase an air fryer last week! You live and learn.0
