Nearly having an accident is a good time to find out that your dashcam isn't recording.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

Review any protected footage you need to keep and then format the card ready for use again. Also, next time you have such an incident, press the protect button to ensure the footage is not overwritten.
Sometimes footage is protected automatically when the car experiences a bump in the road and this can quickly fill the card with protected footage, worth checking the sensitivity settings for auto protection and turning them down if you are getting excess protected footage.
The more info you can give on these questions the better, it wasn't apparent until your 4th post that the latest recordings were on the card along with older ones - try to give as much info as you can at the start.
What size is your SD card? How old is the "old" footage"? Is it in the protected folder? How many minutes of new footage? Are there any interruptions in the newest footage?1 -
