Dear xxxxxxx,
Please don't insult my intelligence; no-one would pay that ludicrous sum of money and it is astonishing MOTO is now suggesting it. Your unhelpful and data-intrusive response speaks volumes about what MOTO must think about motorists. <SNIP>3 -
I think you set the scene for this one early on by going to the Moto appeals team. They seem to be little more than an extension of CP Plus and are about as much help as a direct enquiry to CP Plus i.e. zero. Hopefully it's not to late to recover it.
The most important email addresses at Moto are the CEO ken.mcmeikan@moto-way.co.uk and Commercial Manager paul.comer@moto-way.co.uk. There is also customer.services@moto-way.co.uk which I think would have been more useful than any of those you have contacted.
I don't know the general enquiries email but it sounds like they are just regurgitating what CP Plus have told them.
They wrote - 'As this case is now with DCBL we do not have access to this data and are unable to do anything about it'
That is complete rubbish as Moto can get these cancelled at any stage, even if already a court claim.
So write a strongly worded complaint to Moto CEO and Commercial Manager as per Coupon Mads post above asking them to instruct CP Plus to discontinue the claim. MSA's are supposed to be havens of refuge for the weary motorist so they have to take notice of the safety aspect. As beamerguy points out 'Tiredness kills-take a break' or 'Don't drive tired'

Big congratulations to everyone on here who helped me.
So after some backwards and forwards with the parking queries and the customer services at moto to no avail i contacted.
- Paul - Comer Head of Commercial
- Ken Mcmeikan - CEO
Paul Comer was very quick to respond to say that he was looking into this for me, and the next day parking queries at moto contacted me to say the PCN is now being canceled.
No later than 2 hour later i received a Notice of Discontinuance directly from DCB legal which they also sent directly to the court.
So a big thank you to everyone on here who offered legal advice on this matter.5 -
Write bad stuff on their facebook page, on motoring forums, Honrst John, Piston Heads et al, they hate that! You never know how far you can go until you go too far.2

I'm sure that by now CP Plus must be getting some searching questions raised by MOTO. Hopefully their contract renewal might not be so straightforward, because any perceived useful purpose they serve, must be outweighed by the hassle and aggravation the management at MOTO are having to deal with! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

DCBL should now be very careful accepting claims from CPP .... more cancellations will happen
Maybe MOTO will consider their position with the motorist and not a parking scammer. After all the franchises in MOTO will be paying a lot of money and they want to make money
MOTO should kick out CPP from their sites and concentrate on customers2 -
Well done on the win Tinytim- another one bites the dust

I was thinking (hoping) exactly the same thing myself. The only problem is they might swap Cowboy Parking Plus for Billy The Kid Parking Enforcement inc

I really hope that Motorway services and other vital public-facing landowners are waking up and smelling the coffee regarding what damage is being done to their good name, thanks to Group Nexus deciding that archive cases from victims from years ago are fair game for threatograms and aggressively pursued court claims in 2021 as we recover from the pandemic. PPCs appear to have no shame.
Do MSAs not realise for one minute, that they could easily run the parking themselves and not bite the hand that feeds them (the public).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So i have been onto "Money Claim Online" just to check out the claim as my defence would have needed to filed by monday.
The Latest transaction states "Notification that the claim against you was discontinued was received on 11/05/2021"
I just wanted to double check that this has now been resolved and there was no more steps i needed to complete with the courts etc?1 -
