Craft idea - felt

Hi, I’m not a crafter but I need an idea of what to do with felt. I have a small felt heart which is a keepsake. I want to put this in a photo box frame to display. I’m don’t want to use glue as I don’t want to damage it. Someone had suggested small Velcro sticky spots. Has anyone any other ideas?

If it’s going onto a cardboard backing, could you use needle and thread to sew it on (almost as if it was a button but not through the top layer) 

a single thread will be easier to remove than anything sticky.

When bin ends of the thread are through the backing you can just tie it.

Thank you. I’ll maybe try that. Just worried that the card would look pulled at the back where the thread is.

It would depend a bit how thick the backing card is when you try and push a needle through.

alternatively you could sew the heart to a smaller square of card that would be hidden behind it and then carefully glue that piece of card onto the backing.  Making sure no glue escapes onto the heart  

The felt heart could still be snipped free from the thread attaching it, if you changed your mind at all.
