Wage slips married name. Will the affect mortgage application

Hi everyone. I'm after a bit of advice please.

I have bee offered a time limited opportunity to buy the house I am currently renting.
I got married at the end of last year, but  due to the lockdowns, I haven't yet changed my name on my passport, driving license, bank accounts, doctors etc. The only place I have done this so far is at work, so my wage slips are now in my married name.

I was intending on making the mortgage application in my name only. My partner doesn't work currently but looks after our children, and when adding him to the agreement in princple with the bank it actually reduced the amount I could borrow.
As all my id is in my maiden name the agreement in principle was done under that name, but it has since occurred to me that the wage slips being in my married name may cause me issues.  Has anyone been a similar position? Would my marriage certificate suffice as evidence.

You'd be better off asking in the Mortgages & Endowments section

If you haven't done it yet, check that your lender allows a single application when married. Some may insist on a joint application.

I've bought in two names before. Shouldn't be a problem presuming you have your marriage certificate. Absolutely no legal requirement to change your name.

Do agree you prob have more issues with being married. Your husband will want be classed as a dependant so the amount you can borrow will more than likely be affected whether he's included on the application or not. I was in a similar boat with my OH.
