House sold prices

I’ve been checking nethouseprices to check history of previous sold prices for houses. When searching for some houses, the house does not appear in the results.

is there any reason for this? Should I be searching another site?

thanks

when was the house sold? it can take about 3 months from completion for the updates to appear on sites - you could also check sold prices on Rightmove or Zoopla

You can just check the land registry website directly.
  • Thanks but this is not necessarily just for houses sold within the last 3 months. I’ve been searching for some that I know were last sold years ago for which don’t appear.

That’s unusual for them not to appear, I use nethouseprices and Rightmove and they do appear but can take 6 months if recent sale, even for older transactions I’ve always found the the information.

I've noticed the occasional glitch. They do try to filter out transactions which aren't "normal" arm's-length sales (split-ups, right to buy, etc), so maybe they're incorrectly flagging up some standard sales.

I bought a house as a buy to let around 10 years ago. This has never shown up on any sold prices websites, including the land registry. I've checked the registry details and the ownership details are all correct so I've always assumed it's a glitch and some prices just never get noted.
