I have a T-Mobile MDA Vario, with Windows Mobile 5. It hung yesterday (as it does do fairly regularly). I normally take the battery out to reset/reboot it, but now, this has no effect. I get the reboot screen (White screen with t-mobile logo), but it doesn't go any further.
Just before hanging, there was a critical message saying it was out of memory space, so I daresay that's the likely cause.
I did a google this morning, and found suggestions that I should press the reset button while powering on, so I tried this, but again, it won't boot.
Is there any way I can sort this out???

Hi,
Depends what's gone wrong with it ... there's a good post here on the subject:

I'd try the hard reset first (what they call 'Hardcode Reset 2') though you'll likely lose all data and settings from the phone.
The last option is to reflash it ... not for the faint hearted!

Just tried the "Hardware Reset 2" option and that did the trick!! Thanks. I've lost all the data in the storage area, but I'd resigned myself to that anyway.
Actually I rang T-Mobile this morning, and arranged for a replacement to be couriered tomorrow, so why did they not suggest trying a hardware reset???
Anyway, all fixed. :-)Of course, I may just be talking b****cks!0 -
you get a prog called Sprint or Sprite and its purpose it to backup PPC onto a sd card - just incase next time.GOOGLE it before you ask, you'll often save yourself a lot of time.0
