Selco Builders Trade credit account

Hi

As a self employed plumber, I was looking into opening an account on credit with Selco.

I have been looking into the application, but it does not sate which credit reference agency they use?

Does anyone know? or applied recently for this account.

Reason I ask, is that I have late payments showing on my Experian report. But on my Equifax report, the account is no shown. So my credit score is much better.

Those reports are irrelevant, only you see them. Your credit score is meaningless.

When you apply for credit they use their own sources for information.

Apply and see how you get on but if you have late payment markers they will find them.

A quick look at their privacy policy suggests they use Graydon who are a commercial credit reference agency (makes sense since this is a business credit application you are making).

The likelihood is that they do not have access to late payment and default data for this type of application and so decisions will be based on public data such as voters roll and CCJ’s only.
