Online Returns Policy

Hi, I’m wondering if I can have some help regarding an online purchase. The company is a small local boutique in Northern Ireland.
I purchased a few items on Sunday 11th April it arrived on Wednesday 14th April. There are a number of reasons why I only opening the parcel for the first time on the 21st April. Neither items are suitable and when looking for return guidance I had to go to their website where it states.
You MUST e-mail us within 48hours of parcel arrival to say that the goods are being returned.
can they legally enforce this? I am still within my 14day returns window and it seems they are not willing to accept my return as I opened my parcel a week after receiving.

you have 14 days to return online purchases and they cannot override that.0
