We have decided to rent out our property whilst we resolve an issue with our absent freeholder after two sales falling through. Finally depening on the location of your property and its closeness to amenities and transport you could try short term lets. That is those shorter than 6 months. For this, you would have to provide a daily cleaning service. These have different tax treatment to tenancies greater than 6 months, so you would need to talk to an accountant or ask on the Cutting Taxes board.
You could also try AirBnB. I couldn't do this because my lease agreement with my landlord stated they needed to know who was in the property, so this effectively ruled out AirBnB.
