I have applied for the homeworking support £6 a week for 20/21 and this year. How does the payment come through is it a lump some from HMRC for last year? or on in my pay through my employer. Thanks

Your tax code will be altered to reflect the change, and a lesser amount of tax will be taken from your salary each month.0

Thanks for the reply. I have just noticed my tax code has changed. For 20/21 will I get a lump sum for that year having only just applied for it? Or does it form part of this year's?0

It's not £6 a week, it's actually £1.20 per week if you're a basic tax payer.

As Poppy has said it's working from home tax relief, which is 20% on £6, so it amounts to £1.20 per week and will be reflected in your tax code/deductions.1
