Outdoor concerts

Help! Our boss has his 70th birthday coming up at the end of August and we want to celebrate as a group - probably to an outdoor concert (he's a great boss and very young-minded!) preferably not all classical.
We're trying to find something for the first weekend in September (2nd, 3rd or 4th) in our local area - Derbyshire/Staffordshire.
I've tried the obvious places - Shugborough, Chatsworth, Calke etc - and some of the not-so-obvious places - Tutbury Castle, Catton Hall, even Conkers!.
Does anybody know of any more places I could look, or of any concerts within our area?
Ta a lot

You probably already know the Calke pop concert is August 12th. This year it's the Bootleg Beatles, the Pretenders and ...I don't remember who else!0

Have you tried Alton Towers? They sometimes have special entertainment events.
You could ring your local radio stations to see if they know of anything coming up.
Also the local paper might be worth trying as they may have been given ads to put in for 'forthcoming what's on'.0 -
This is a bit further North but if you are getting a coach / mini bus you may facy giving it a try.
Party at the Proms at Harewood House, Leeds
04 September 2005
Performance Starts: 7:15pm. End approx 10pm
This performance contains a variety of popular classics, beautiful arias and of course all the traditional proms favourites culminating in a dramatic firework display. Performed by the English National Orchestra with Wynne Evan - Principal Tenor with the Welsh National Opera and star soprano Janet Mooney.
The evening will begin in spectacular style with an aerial display in the skies over Harewood by an original World War 2 Spitfire whilst the orchestra performs the rousing Dambusters March and 633 Squadron.
This is a wonderful evening, and I am only 40. People take picnics, chairs and champagne. If you are at all worried about the weather, they charge extra (dont know how much) to take a gazebo.

Dont forget to take your flags to wave, and a flask of mulled wine.Josey0
