Unordered Just Eat

Hi all,

My elderly parents do not and have never used Just Eat.

However, they keep getting delivery drivers turning up at their house.

As you can imagine, this is causing some distress.

I've have tried contacting Just eat by phone, email and chat bot, but all i seem to get are automated replies.

Has anyone any suggestions?

Many thanks.

Can you find out which address the food should be being delivered to?  I suspect the person placing the order has either put a typo in their address or some other error in their delivery instructions.  Once you know that address, pop round there and speak to the occupant.  They're either fed up with cold food, or food that isn't arriving at all.
  • It has my parents address on the delivery note, so the error must be when it is ordered.

That's why i need to speak to someone.

Strange, you'd think the person who keeps using the wrong address would have twigged by now
  • That's right.

if it was someone pulling a prank it would work out very expensive for them too.

Surely if it was a prank they'd choose cash on delivery?

Have you tried calling the restaurant(s) instead of just eat? They're likely the ones getting calls about undelivered food if it's a mistake, as just eat gives you the restaurants number for issues. If it's just one or two places that your parents don't order from, you could ask them to refuse orders to that address, but depending on how busy they are, they might not be able to spot them.

I'm sure they will get over the distress pretty quickly

If they are that elderly - they will have gone through much worse things in their lives

Stick a note on the door reminding the delivery guys that it's the wrong address?
