Initial Parking - CST Law
thanks4gaviscon
Oct/Nov last year I received a PCN from Initial. I replied by mail (there wasn't an online option) saying I wasn't the driver and giving them my wife's contact details.
I've had a few reminders from them, then from Debt Recovery Plus but when I mentioned it to my wife she said she was dealing with it.
I've now got a letter from CST Law talking about court, Beavis etc but saying client wants to resolve amicably if I cough up £170.
Asked my wife again and she said "oh I don't know anything about that fine, I thought it was the other one."
I'm now guessing they didn't receive my form saying I wasn't the driver and I didn't get proof of postage so not sure where I go from here.
Any advice much appreciated.

Name the driver to initial parking , in writing , stating that this is the second time you have told them , so you have discharged your liability under POFA and neither they nor their contractor's should contact you again
You can do this anytime up until a court claim is issued1 -
CST talk rubbish, you don't owe £170thanks4gaviscon said:Oct/Nov last year I received a PCN from Initial. I replied by mail (there wasn't an online option) saying I wasn't the driver and giving them my wife's contact details.

They quote the Beavis case ....... the Supreme court ruled that the parking ticket included operational costs. CST are trying to scam a further £70 from you, Beavis case indeed ???
DRP are just part of CST, kissing cousins if you like. Ask them for their legal authority to add £70, they never reply because they don't have any ? That is very bad for them court.
There is a dedicated thread for CST. Read it to understand the scam
CST letters' forum group thread

And also read this thread as to what the courts do to these bad boys

Where does SAR come in?0

The SAR comes in right now. See the NEWBIES thread 2nd post about a SAR and how to do it and who to email it to.
The reply, if they give you everything, will show you whether they received your letter, for starters.
Don't tip the DPO off what you are looking for...and don't ask us who the DPO is, please, before reading the thread that tells you.
By the way you did give your wife's name and postal address as well, both times?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes, supplied wife's details both times.
Will complain to MP.
And take a look at that thread.
Thanks.2
