Lump sum deposit for grandchild living abroad

Hi
I want to invest a lump sum for my granddaughter who is living in the Netherlands. I would like to invest it so that the child gets it when she turns 18. I don't think I can invest it in a Junior ISA in the UK as she was not born here. I could get her parents to open an bank account for her in the Netherlands but the interest rates are so low I was hoping to invest it in a growth fund where the returns would hopefully be better.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Thank you

You may wish to consider opening an investment account in bare trust for your granddaughter?
