Ok I am an honest ebayer..honest...and I bidded for a U2 ticket, and was elated to win, however the seller has 0 rating, joined in Jan this year but never won or sold anything. Still was prepared to give benefit of the doubt and asked for invoice, only to be warned by eBay the seller did not list an address with them, he didn’t accept pay pal either, so I waited a good 2hrs to hear from seller, I sent 2 emails, and then bid on a ticket with reputable seller…well I won. Paid for ticket THEN got email off original seller with address and bank details. OH heck…I know what I have done is wrong BUT I do feel a little justified..BUT I DON’T want to set off a debate on my actions if they were wrong or right ……There was a bidder below me so I have offered the seller the difference in bids and if he has to resell I will pay listing fees. I just wondered what others would have done and I know I will deserve the negative feedback of that I’m sure but the concert is Tuesday and ideally I wanted the ticket posted to get to me tomorrow as I will have to stay over at Manchester so traveling Monday. I know excuses but I do feel bad abou wha I have done.
I wished upon a star tonight that I would see you once more,
To hold you in my arms and tell you how much I love you,
To hear your voice, to kiss your cheek oh for just one more time,
But all I have are memories and a heart full of love and tears.
To hold you in my arms and tell you how much I love you,
To hear your voice, to kiss your cheek oh for just one more time,
But all I have are memories and a heart full of love and tears.

Well.... Lets edit your post leaving in the facts....

Whilst I appreciate you are trying to make amends, I really cannot see much more that you could have done wrong to begin with and if I was the original seller I would be more than just a little !!!!!! off.
"waited a good 2hrs!!!".... Jesus H yer not the impatient buyer from hell are you
.... and as you say, any negative feedback you receive would be more than justified.
You read the auction, you were happy to bid, you bid, you won, so..... pay up is all I can really say, failing that, do all you can to ensure the seller is not out of pocket.
As for what I would have done..... I could not pass comment as I would never have placed the first bid, and if I had done, I would not have placed the second bid..... Sorry
I know that sounds rather harsh, but if the SELLER had started a thread with this sorry tale.... Well.... I think you know what the advise/comments would amount to.

so I waited a good 2hrs to hear from seller
I wouldn't really say this is a fair amount of time to wait. You do seem genuinely upset about this, which is good, and offering to pay the difference between the bids is very nice.
However, there's probably somebody on some other forum complaining about bidders who wait only two hours, then bid on a different item, and i'd have to feel more sympathy for them really.
When you log onto a listing it tells you the item location. If this isn't there, i wouldn't have bid in the first place.
As a general rule i don't buy off ebay if i'm under a time constraint.the concert is Tuesday and ideally I wanted the ticket posted to get to me tomorrow as I will have to stay over at Manchester so traveling Monday.0 -
I hold my hands up BUT I forgot to add the seller wanted payment within 2hrs of auction ending and still hasnt replied to any of my emails afer sending address details and all mine have been read, he only replies via ebay and his email address keeps undelivering.. BUT I do witter on I know ....... I know Id be angry if I was he seller but I do feel I have done all I can and if I hadnt been so upset last night would never have bid on this,no excuse but there you go.I wished upon a star tonight that I would see you once more,

The seller does not accept Paypal, (I assume this was quite clear in the auction detail?), yet expects to receive payment within two hours of auction end?

Exactly, so how were you supposed to pay? Carrier pigeon.
Just seeing a new seller with a high price item that didn't accept paypal who wanted payment within 2 hours would be enough to put anyone off. With so many other U2 tickets up there why on earth did you bid?
Anyway, you might be lucky here, if the seller has no address registered report him to ebay for bad contact details as that should get him NARU'd thus saving you a NPB strike and a neg.
Finally, as special delivery does not include Saturdays I hope you are leaving late enough on Monday to guarantee that you will be availble to sign for your package from seller 2 when it arrives. It is only guaranteed to arrive 'before 1pm' after all. ALso, unless seller 2 specifically said he would post it today, leaving it until tomorrow to post would, I think, count as a Monday receipt which would guarantee it for Tuesday.

Well the original seller still hasnt replied to me so I have repored it to ebay and the second seller says he posed i immedieely today and I leave at 2.00 on Monday so hopefully will be alright.
As I said I know if it had been done to me Trafalgar I would be mad but the seller hasnt been as upfront as should be...and is a litle bit iffy BUT I did offer to make up the difference between my bid and the bid below mine...I do think I did try to make the best of the pigs ear I have made.I wished upon a star tonight that I would see you once more,
