Lost cheque

I claimed for ppi in August 2019 march 2021 letter received saying it had been upheld in march 2014 only for the cheque to go to my old address. (I never put a claim in before 2019.) Informed Barclays i didnt live there so never received the cheque. Now my case has been reopened and put in a queue again to be reassessed. Its been 3 week since i heard anything from them.

How long should it take to get reissued with a cheque.

How long’s a piece of string? Call Barclays and ask them for their timescales.

Can't they just pay it directly into your bank account? What's their problem? I'd phone them and ask them to get on with it or I'll be claiming for compensation for their incompetence as well. This really has been dragging on.

Barclays’ incompetence? They’ve done nothing wrong, they provided a cheque in good faith 7 years ago, presumably to the most up to date address they held on file.

Re getting it re-issued, The OP would’ve been put at the back of a very long queue for their settlements team to process. It’s not a priority case so it’ll be dealt with in order.

Call Barclays and ask - you’ve waited 7 years for the redress, another couple of weeks won’t kill you.
