I am admin for two Facebook Groups for the same charity; one that sews quilts for children in hospital. A public one which is our formal 'shop window' for recipients aswell as volunteers and a private one where those who volunteer can socialize and support each other with hints and tips.
Occasionally, the comments to a post regarding donations can go a little 'off piste' and are more suited to our private group; they may be about technique or sourcing materials.
If I share the post, to the private group, will the comments go with it? If they do, can I then delete some comments in the original post without losing them in the shared post in the second group?
I am slowly getting the volunteers to join the second, 'social', group, but ladies of a certain age are not always persuaded or tech savvy.
Thanks

I put my brain into gear, and checked out a post that I'd shared to one of my groups and see that the comments had not 'followed' it.
I will have to think of a tactful way of managing this. Everyone just gets too excited when they see the donated quilts they just can't help themselves..... lol0
