Will A Failed Debit Card Payment Impact Credit Score

After an osteopath appointment today, the receptionist said she can just use my card on file (current account MasterCard debit card) for payment, which I agreed to and left.
She not only double charged me for the £45 appointment, she also in the process tried to take two payments of £4,500 which were both declined due to insufficient funds.
Assuming this was human error and she’s just added too many zeros. But that aside, would these two ‘attempted payments’ impact my credit score? For all intents it looks like I was trying to pay £9000 without having that in my account.
Clearly next time I’ll be using my card and not letting them do it without me there. 🙈

I've had failed transactions before. Sometimes because I've used too many contactless payments in row, sometimes my bank decides it needs to do a security check before letting the payment through (which i was unaware of so tried several times), once or twice because I've had less in my current account than expected, I've gotten my PIN wrong before etc... No impact. Also it's your history, not score you need to watch. Score is just a marketing gimmick. It's your history that matters.
The only thing that shows up on credit reports relating to your debit card is your current account. It won't show that you have a debit card or any transactions on it. It will only show if you've gone into your overdraft. My balance is always £0 because I've never gone into my overdraft.
Even with your credit card it will only show your monthly balance, credit limit and will note any missed payments or defaults. It won't show individual transactions - successful or failed.

No. It's a mistake. But what an error! Like you, I'd also be using my card in that person's presence next time, ensuring it was done correctly. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts.
